In January 2026 AD Middle East, published by Condé Nast, ran a story on UrArtU, a flower gallery in Dubai with a 250kg orchid by the designer Harry Nuriev. The photographs are by Amir Agaev, a fashion and jewellery photographer and videographer based in Dubai.

The story

UrArtU is a Dubai flower gallery. As AD Middle East describes it, the gallery takes up a two-storey, 220 sqm warehouse conversion in Al Quoz, which the magazine calls the city's creative and cultural district. The centrepiece named in the headline is a 250kg orchid by Harry Nuriev.

The piece, written by Zen Bahar, ran online in the magazine's Interiors section on 12 January 2026 under the headline “Inside UrArtU the Dubai Flower Gallery With a 250kg Orchid by Harry Nuriev”. The credit line under the headline reads “Photography by Amir Agaev”.

The photographs

An interiors story has to show the space itself. The story opens with a double portrait set against shelves of flowers lit in red, with a floral arrangement in the foreground: the flowers are the room, and the room is the backdrop for the portrait.

Amir's everyday work is fashion and jewellery, where light, colour and texture decide whether a frame works. The same attention goes into an interior: here the red light on the shelves sets the mood of the whole opening image.

The result

The story is live on admiddleeast.com with the photographer credit, and AD Middle East has a contributor page for Amir Agaev. It sits alongside his editorial work for L'Officiel Monaco and his covers for World Arabia.

Brands that need the same eye for a product, a boutique or a campaign in Dubai can see his fashion photography and jewellery photography.
